Senior eDiscovery Consultant
Espion seek a suitable candidate for a senior client facing role, who can provide Forensics and eDiscovery to our clients under the direction of the Director. Responsibilities would include management of all areas related to the collection, preservation, processing, analysis, export, quality assurance, and management of client data during the eDiscovery and/or Forensic investigation process.
Responsibilities
You will liaise with clients to plan and carry out electronic evidence collection exercises, on-site at client premises in Ireland and abroad. You will be familiar with the EDRM framework, and have experience using eDiscovery and Forensic tools and methodologies.
- Experience of working in an e-Discovery and/or Forensic Technology related role.
- Litigation support experience is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Forensics tools is required.
- Experience with eDiscovery tools is an advantage.
- Experience of the collection and extraction of electronic data to forensic principles and associated audit trail documentation.
- Experience of performing forensic analysis, reporting and writing of witness statements
Key functions include:
- Use forensic software applications for collecting, processing, reviewing, and analysing electronic evidence
- Follow best practice and Espion’s internal computer forensic evidence collection, analysis and documentation policies and procedures
- Conduct, document and present investigative findings in a clear concise manner in written reports
- Attend meetings with clients (most likely to be Solicitors and Barristers) and provide advice and guidance in relation to computer forensics, and explain findings
- Stay current on forensic training and certifications
Electronic Discovery
- Become an expert and authoritative source on Espion’s eDiscovery platform(s)
- Provide eDiscovery advice and guidance to clients
- Set up client cases in the eDiscovery platform, and manage those cases to completion
- Participate in data collections, data processing, data analysis and productions using the eDiscovery Platform
- Work with clients ensure that the output of the eDiscovery Platform can be imported to their own document management system, or legal review system
- Provide training and support to clients, and respond quickly to queries.
- Provide demonstrations of the eDiscovery platform to clients
Espion seek someone who has strong Digital Forensics & eDiscovery experience, and who potentially wishes to further their career in consultancy in all aspects of Information Security, Information Risk and Information Compliance as well as utilise opportunities to work in and learn of the other consultancy areas of the Espion Group

Requirements
- A mature candidate capable of working on his or her own initiative.
- Holds a third level qualification (ideally Masters level) in a technology focused subject such as computer science, forensic computing or information systems.
- Two or more years experience in Information Security and in particular in Forensics and eDiscovery
- This is a client facing role. There will also be proportion of time allocated to work on internal projects, primarily focused on research, product development and producing research papers and/or whitepapers. There will also be a requirement to assist other Espion business units where the need arises.
- Be customer-service-oriented to meet client deadlines, including working out of business hours when necessary to meet client deadlines.
- Candidates should be proactive, have the ability to take ownership, have a “can do” approach, have a goal of building customer value and can react quickly and with a sense of urgency to requests, issues, emails or other events in a timely and flexible fashion and have the ability and understanding to provide client support if required.
- Candidates must be articulate in both written and verbal communication, have a demonstrable experience working in a stand-alone role (specifically customer facing) and have a strong ability to produce well written and well presented reports/documentation in the English language.
- This is a Senior level role (although more junior applicants maybe considered for a Junior position, see Graduate Potential below)
- This role is consultancy based, so candidates have to have the ability to communicate with senior stakeholders and advise best practice.
- This position will require some European travel and work abroad
- Candidates must have a valid work visa and have excellent written and oral English.
If a recent graduate or less experienced candidate can demonstrate a significant knowledge, interest and practical application of Forensics and eDiscovery particularly in a professional services capacity then they would also be considered for a more junior role.
