The Irish Internet Association (IIA)

The Irish Internet Association is the professional body for those conducting business via the internet from Ireland. It has been and remains one of the driving forces behind the adoption of the medium. Established in 1997, the IIA provides leadership to enterprises and society conducting business in Ireland. The IIA is a strong voice for its 550 plus company members. The aim of the Association is to Connect, Inform and Promote. The IIA is a non-profit business association. Members of the association includes suppliers of Internet services and products as well as those using the medium for communication, marketing and commerce.

The Irish Information Security Forum (IISF)

The IISF was established primarily to improve the understanding and practice of Information Security within the business computer user community in Ireland. This has grown to be a gathering of security professionals and practitioners from a variety of organisations. Espion are members of the forum and our consultants are regularly invited to make presentations on topical issues to the members.

The Irish Computer Society Security Professionals Network

Espion, along with the Irish Computer Society (ICS) and Ernst and Young, founded and operate the ICS Security Professional Network. The Network runs monthly seminars (free to members of the Irish Computer Society) aimed at educating and training members in all aspects of information security.

Information Systems Security Association (Irish Chapter)

The Information Systems Security Association is the world’s largest not-for-profit professional body for information security personnel. For over 20 years the ISSA has served the information security community, providing members with opportunities for education, professional development and networking. All of Espion’s consultants are members of the ISSA’s Irish chapter and actively contribute to various initiatives.

ISACA

The Irish Chapter of ISACA was formed in 1997 to cater for the growing group of people in Ireland interested in information systems audit and security issues. They now have over 200 members, from a range of industries, practice, and the public sector. They regularly host evening seminars on topics of interest to members, calling on speakers from within the membership and other experts.

Institute of Directors in Ireland

The Institute of Directors in Ireland is the representative body for senior, strategic business professionals in Ireland. Members include chief executives, chairpersons, board members, senior executives and partners of large national and international entities in Ireland.

The Institute of Internal Auditors

Established in 1941, The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) is the internal audit profession's global voice, recognised authority, acknowledged leader, chief advocate, and principal educator. Members work in internal auditing, risk management, governance, internal control, information technology audit, education, and security.

Irish International Business Network (IIBN)

IIBN is a ‘not for profit’ organisation whose membership is made up of successful Irish entrepreneurs and business professionals throughout the world.The objective of IIBN is to facilitate greater communication between first, second and third generation Irish individuals for the purpose of identifying and exploiting new business relationships and opportunities. Launched in London in early 2007, IIBN uses a range of online and offline initiatives and events to facilitate the exchange of business ideas and introductions to other members throughout the world.
